Indigo Bridge is a woman-owned, indie bookstore, cafe, and community space highlighting stories written by and for underrepresented communities.
Our mission is to be a welcoming and engaging space in our community and make literature accessible to all.
What Books Go On Our Shelves
Every book we sell at Indigo Bridge adheres to these requirements to the best of our knowledge:
It is written or created by an author/artist/creator who is part of one or more underrepresented* communities.
*Underrepresented: represented in numbers that are disproportionately low; not society’s default.
To the best of our knowledge, it does not contain or portray material that is harmful, discriminatory, or disrespectful to these underrepresented groups.
E.g. hate speech, racism, sexism, queerphobia, transphobia, homophobia, ableism, ageism, colorism, xenophobia, dehumanization of undocumented people, disrespect toward religious groups.
