Drag Story Hour

We LOVE hosting this event!! However, like many small businesses, we could use a little extra help.

So, we will now be accepting free-will donations (online and in-store) to help fund our monthly Drag Story Hour.

We appreciate you and your support. Drag Story Hour wouldn’t be happening at Indigo Bridge without you!

Can’t afford to donate? No worries!

Drag Story Hour will remain a free event for everyone!

ELOQUENT SOLIDARITY

Creative Expressions in Support of Palestine

The Palestinian people have endured the hardships of displacement, occupation, and genocide due to the actions of the Israeli government for more than 75 years. This event serves as a powerful bridge, transcending borders to provide a meaningful space where diverse voices converge in unwavering support of the Palestinian people. Through shared stories, music, and art, we aim to cultivate connections that extend beyond the scope of traditional fundraising efforts.

Join us in this collective endeavor to foster empathy and solidarity, contributing to a community that firmly believes in the transformative power of collective action. We welcome all people to join us, so feel free to bring a friend. This evening is an invitation to be part of a meaningful cause, standing united for justice and the overall well-being of Palestinians. Funds raised during the event will be directed towards supporting Justice for Palestine and Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP).

Fundraiser for an Indigenous Garden on City Campus.

The Indigenous garden on UNL's downtown City Campus will serve as a powerful, tangible sign of welcome to all Native students, their families, and the wider Indigenous community, acknowledging that UNL now resides upon Indigenous homelands. With informational signage in Native languages as well as English, Spanish, and other key languages of local populations, the garden will serve as a beautiful and educational space for everyone. The plants that grow there will support experiential learning in conjunction with academic coursework in Indigenous foodways, Tribal medicine, Native sustainability practices, and Indigenous health and well-being. The garden will include an outdoor classroom and gathering space, and it will be dedicated to all Native peoples.

Funding target: $50,000

We acknowledge and honor the Pawnee, Ponca, Oto-Missouria, Umonhon (Omaha), Dakota, Lakota, Arapaho, Tsististas & Suhtai (Cheyenne), and Kaw Peoples, as well as the relocated Ho-Chunk, Iowa, and Sac and Fox Peoples, upon whose homelands now reside the campuses and programs of the University of Nebraska, a land-grant institution. Let us recognize the legacies of violence, displacement, and coercion, as well as the legacies of Indigenous survival, resistance, and joy that bring us here today.
